In a 2014 article on Huffington Post, Michael Deibert considers the recent re-emergence of former Haitian presidents Jean-Claude Duvalier and Jean-Bertrande Aristide and the seeming impunity of the countries leaders since the 1950s. As Haiti's economy continues "moving forward" in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake, will the civil rights violations of the past be confronted or left to stand?
